Cheyne Matzenbacher Deer Outreach Specialist

Cheyne Matzenbacher serves as a Deer Outreach Specialist in southern Missouri for NDA and previously held the title of Wildlife Management Cooperative Specialist with the organization. Before coming to NDA in November 2019, he held various positions including Outdoor Education Programmer, Deer Processor, Assistant Park Superintendent, Park Naturalist, and Wildlife Manager. He earned bachelor’s in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Arkansas Tech University and is a certified Deer Steward II, Official Measurer for Boone & Crockett Club, Pope & Young Club, Bolt and Quarrel Club, and Missouri Show-Me Big Bucks Club. 

Cheyne is originally from Berryville, Arkansas and currently lives in Blue Eye, Missouri with his wife Amber, daughter Ryleigh, and dog Kira. He loves to hunt and fish and enjoy the outdoors. He is a youth sponsor at the church he attends in Arkansas and he and his pastor were on the four-time state champion cross country teams in high school.
