Michael Kalkbrenner Arkansas DMAP Biologist

Michael was born and raised in White Hall, Arkansas, where he still resides. A lifelong love of the outdoors shaped his passion for hunting, fishing, and conserving his state’s natural resources. Michael is currently completing his B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science with a concentration in Wildlife at Arkansas Tech University, graduating in December 2025.

His professional experience includes assisting with fisheries research during the summer of 2023 and interning with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in 2025, where he contributed to the restoration of native grasslands in central Arkansas.
