Nick Pinizzotto President & CEO
Nick Pinizzotto is NDA’s President and CEO and has been with the organization since 2015 having first served in the same role for the previously created and now merged National Deer Alliance. Working with the boards of directors and veteran staff he oversaw the merger with the Quality Deer Management Association, ultimately creating the current NDA.Â
Before joining the organization, he held CEO roles for Sportsmen’s Alliance and Delta Waterfowl Foundation. He was also Associate Vice President at Western Pennsylvania Conservancy for 11 years where he started the organization’s Watershed Conservation and Conservation Service programs. Earlier in his career he held positions in government agencies and for a private environmental consulting firm. He earned a bachelor’s in Environmental Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in Psychology from the University of Arizona. He is an NDA Life Member and Level 2 Deer Steward.
Nick currently resides with his wife Angela, son Will, and cat Harvey near where he grew up in Indiana, Pennsylvania, but has also lived in Bismarck, North Dakota and Columbus, Ohio. He is an avid archery hunter, fly fisherman and fly tyer, sports fan and card collector, and baseball coach as time allows. A Level 2 Deer Steward, he also takes pride in managing his family’s land for deer and other wildlife.
