In this episode of the Deer Season 365 Podcast, Brian talks with Donnie Draeger, a wildlife biologist at the Comanche Ranch in Texas, about an intensive 13-year research project Donnie was involved in focused on whether culling can improve the overall quality and genetics of a free-ranging deer herd. The research, combined with DNA analysis of the deer, provided some very interesting results that should put an end to any notion that you can improve the genetics of a wild, free-ranging deer herd with a trigger pull.
