Missouri Doe Days

See Details Below

December 6 - December 7

Free

The National Deer Association is hosting its inaugural “Doe Days” event on December 6–7 at two Missouri locations to encourage antlerless deer harvest and support families in need. This event benefits hunters by helping them better manage their deer herds while also providing a valuable source of protein to local families. Hunters can bring their harvested does to designated drop-off sites in northeast and southwest Missouri, where volunteers will process the deer, test them for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), and donate the venison free of charge to families or individuals in the community.

Each site will also feature a live deer processing demonstration, showing hunters how to skin, quarter, and de-bone a deer. Hunters who donate a deer will be entered to win an NDA YETI Tundra Cooler. Each deer donated is one entry into the drawing with no limit to the number of entries per hunter.

Why are we doing this?
NDA recognizes that many Missouri landowners and hunters, particularly those practicing Quality Deer Management (QDM), face challenges managing antlerless deer populations. At the same time, they often need more options for donating excess venison without a cost. “Doe Days” provides a practical solution by offering hunters and landowners an opportunity to support herd management while giving back to those in need within their local communities.

Can’t donate a deer but still want to help?
We understand not everyone will be able to donate a deer or volunteer to help for Doe Days, but if you’d still like to contribute, please consider sponsoring or giving to the event by going to our donation page:
