The NDA/DEC Public Land Work Day has been Rescheduled to
August 2, 2025.
Join the National Deer Association & NYS DEC in improving whitetail habitat at Rattlesnake Hill WMA
Come on out and join staff and volunteers from the National Deer Association and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at Rattlesnake Hill Wildlife Management Area (WMA) to improve local habitat for whitetail deer and other wildlife! There will be staff from both agencies on hand to answer questions about the property and provide information on the importance of improving our public lands and the work being done by both agencies.
Volunteers will then be given brief safety instructions, assigned to a group/team leader, and turned loose to achieve one or more of the above tasks in pre-determined locations by the NYSDEC.
After the work is done, lunch will be provided! We will email everyone who registers a few weeks before the event with important details of where to meet, what to bring, and more. We are excited to get our hands dirty and spend time with our volunteers, so grab a friend and register at the link below.
