Hunters for the Hungry
1st Annual Hunter for the Hungry Program
(1) Hunters are being asked to harvest a mature adult Whitetail doe
(2) Take a photo of the hunter with the deer and text it to 269-744-8176 (please provide the hunters name
(3) Drop the deer off to a local processor and have the meat ground into burger, 1 lb packages. Nick Abbot is partnering with us, call him at 269-308-0214, 32229 62nd St., Bangor, MI
(4) After processing is completed and paid for, call or text Chad Brown at 269-744-8176.
(5) Present the packaged meat and the processing receipt to the Southwest Michigan Branch for up to $100 reimbursement of processing per deer
(6) Funding is limited, contact Chad before processing to be sure funds are still available.
(7) All the venison will be donated to Journey Family Church for distribution to those in need within the community.
