At their December meeting, the Board of Directors of the National Deer Association voted to welcome Jennifer Hodge McLain of South Carolina as a new member. The Board also re-elected two members, re-elected officers, and approved emeritus status for Joe Hamilton of South Carolina.
Joe, who founded the Quality Deer Management Association in 1988, did not seek re-election to the NDA Board at the end of his recent term and instead was elected to a non-voting emeritus Board position. He joins Dr. Dave Guynn and Jay McAninch as emeritus Board members who remain active in advising and guiding the organization.
The Board elected Jennifer Hodge McLain of South Carolina as a new member. Jennifer is the Chief Operating Officer of a private medical facility in South Carolina. A committed volunteer with NDA’s Lake Murray Branch, she is an adult-onset hunter passionate about Field-to-Fork initiatives. Jennifer has organized numerous events for youth, veterans, and women, encouraging their connection to the outdoors. In 2019, she founded the Camo Closet, which has supplied camouflage clothing to many new hunters through generous donations. Additionally, she is actively involved in various conservation, business, and leadership organizations.
Sam Burgeson of Minnesota and Chris Dolnack of Connecticut were re-elected to new four-year terms. Additionally, the Board re-elected all current officers to new terms, including Sam Burgeson as Chairman, Chris Dolnack as Vice Chairman, Greg Simons of Texas as Treasurer, and Natalie Krebs of Arkansas as Secretary. Arthur Dick of North Carolina will now serve as an at-large member of the Executive Committee.
