Writer Kristen Schmitt on Communicating the Positive Impacts Hunting Has on Conservation

September 29, 2021 By: NDA Staff

Communicating to the masses the positive impact of deer and hunting on conservation has become increasingly important. As hunters and wildlife face new challenges at the policy level, the need for more people to participate in those issues by contacting elected officials and decision makers is critical. Nick and “The Doctor” are joined by writer, Kristen Schmitt, who not only writes on outdoors and conservation issues, but has written for publications like National Geographic, Glamour, USA Today, Smithsonian, Washington Post, and many more. Her ability to take a hunting or conservation related message and make it relatable to all readers is unique and will play an important role in advancing awareness about the issues that impact hunting and wildlife. Also in this episode, we answer several of your “Ask NDA Anything” questions and talk early season archery hunting.
